Beverley Anne Celebrant

"We cannot recommend Beverley Anne enough! Beverley conducted our Wedding ceremony and was absolutely fantastic. Very thorough and efficient. Always there on hand with any queries we had and so very warm and welcoming. Would definitely use Beverley again in the future for other celebrant services. We will miss her, for only the brief time we have known her, she’s like a friend."

- Emma Dewick, June 2022

Why have a celebrant for a wedding? – well, that’s a good question.

Unlike the ‘template’ options from a register office official, I can provide a totally bespoke and personalised ceremony anywhere you have permission for - not just on licensed premises. This could be any place special to you, such as your own garden, woodland, a field, or a beach. Your ceremony content will be tailored to your wishes, reflecting your personalities and love story, you can even include pets or children, and involve the blending of cultures and families.

Mini

Mini rituals can be incorporated, such as hand tying or ring warming, your ceremony can be themed with your own vibe, whether that be a festival flavour or a Star Wars thread – the choice is yours! You can include bespoke vows, chosen poems, music and readings, all to your tastes. Tributes can be included from family or friends, the choices really are endless! A celebrant led ceremony provides you with the freedom to have your very own wonderful wedding ceremony, exactly how you want it, and treasure it’s memory forever.

What about the costs?

Celebrant-led Wedding Celebrations do cost a little more than registrar services – but, you get so much more for your money. Also, frequently the money you save by not requiring a licenced venue, far out ways a slightly higher fee.

A registrar service is typically less than 15mins, follows a template, and there are restrictions on content – Zero religious references.

A Celebrant Ceremony is typically 30-40 mins long, I will have spent many hours getting to know you and understanding your journey to your wedding day. Then I spend many more hours crafting your perfect ceremony, using my experience and expertise. I officiate your Celebration on the day with complete professionalism, a personalised touch and maybe a healthy dose of humour as well. I am an ever-present source of support and guidance from our first meeting until after your Ceremony is completed.

What about the legal bit?
Wedding Ceremonies can only occur after the legal wedding administration has happened. This could be in the days/weeks prior to the ceremony, or after a marriage abroad.

How would you do this?
After giving notice with your local Register office 1year – 29days in advance of your chosen date, an appointment can be sought at any Register Office in England with 2 witnesses, usually taking less 10 mins, and costing less than £60. These appointments are limited – so book well in advance. Please go to https://www.gov.uk/marriages-civil-partnerships for more information.

Commitment

ceremony

If you are not legally married, I can do a Commitment Ceremony, this can follow a similar format to a Wedding Ceremony, but the wording needs to be different. A legal marriage can then follow at a later date, if desired. Many couples may seek a Commitment Ceremony if they are still waiting for a divorce or have particular circumstances that requires a swift ceremony, or some simply want to share their commitment with their loved ones without legality.

Hand Fasting/Tying

A pagan tradition and symbolic union involving the tying of ribbons, cord or threads around the hands of couples accompanied by bespoke words, pulling each end of the tie resulting in ‘Tying the knot’

Sharing a drink of choice from a two handled loving cup, is an ancient Scottish ritual symbolizing the love and trust implied by the bond, as the new couple shares the first drink of their marriage together.
